Corp America Strikes Again

Found out today that Allied Waste is being bought out by Republic Waste.
The only thing left to discover is.

1. will our name change.
2. can we dumpp the uniforms.
3. do we have to reinterview for our jobs.
4. who and what will be cut.
5. more changes.. but where to start.

it's the corporate America of today, merge, buy out down size, and sweep house.

So only time will tell.

Worried? nope, still have my CDL and can always be retrained.

Not a Bad Day

Okay got up this morning and really didn't want to go into work.

the people at work got me a card with a Border's gift cert along with cup cakes and ice cream.

Came home and was great with "Happy Birthday Granma." My grandson was visiting and it was great to have little arms give me a hug.

So all in all it was a perfect day.

People are leaving, the con was smaller.. Wasn't involved in the Blaster Battle,, still not up to that, but did survive the skirmish. I think that by not pushing myself in the LARP (live action roleplay)..

It has been confirmed more than once that just because you do live action roleplay.. doesn't mean you know how to roleplay. There are many people who just have no concept of fair roleplay and in fact are very bad at it. It's the "I must win!" at all costs.. That is boring.. not to mention annoying. *sigh* oh well..

At least my one character Rensime is back with the Jedi with her master Serris... well after they get done on the current mission to Tharrin. So much still to be done in the coming year.

Now to get my one dark lady up to par and see what fate awaits Octavia, and Rensime etc..

Nyssa is not too pleased with the Jedi at this point...

Now have to turn my attention to the Diplomatic Division ... so more ideas are forming.

Back to rp.. and figuring out what .... the old crazy seerer of Tharrin will tell Zora.. hehehehhehe (evil cackle.)

Well 23 days til vacation and Media West,
and only 4 til Iron Man.. I keep watching the FX channel for sneak peaks and have come to the realization that this movie will be one that I will either really really like ... or one I will cringe at and will hide in the corner from. The hype is making me nervous....

Watching Spiderman 2 now and realize how much this world and us a people need heroes to look up to. Maybe I'm thinking too simplistic..

Was told today at work that I have to move my desk. My first thought was I didn't want to leave my corner...Since M is taking over as route Auditor I'm being shoved back into a postion that I as forced out of.. Strange how the world goes..And with this means I have to sit in the middle, with my back exposed... Okay I'm paranoid and I admit it, but maybe Wild Bill had the right idea.

My lamp in the living room died so I had to buy a new one.. and I copied off of gumby and bought one like hers. it's a cool lamp 5 heads and all, though I don't see it being a lamp that spiderman would like... may remind him of Doc Octopus. (ok please don't take off for spelling)

Okay back to writing and getting ready for a chat tonight... We will see what happens to Octavia and her Master. hehehe

okay this has to be the strangest weekend..

Went to the Northwest Ohio Writers Forum, it was their 25th anniv. I've thought about joining in the past, but held off well mainly because it seems when I join anything something goes terribly wrong, they split, break up, and or fold totally. So in many ways I feel I'm a jinx. But yesterday talked with many that I have met during NANO and I took a step forward and joined putting the myth of me being jinx.

The party was great the speakers were good and they had music in the background. After spending three hours with new/and old found friends It was time for gaming.

Gaming went ok, and for the first time today I did do some reading, usually I read them when i get them. But I was wrapped in Gwyshane and what she needed to do. We were done by 11pm which is usually early.

So today, moved more boxes into my daughters room, went to take pictures of the wall but the camera i bought 2 months ago died, but there is a hole there and more work to be done. I couldn't have done it without gumby, after we got done what we had to went out for Chinese, I was very good and didn't eat my egg roll..... was going to bring it home but it kept calling to gumby and well... the rest is history.

Now for the comics.

World of Warcraft, I do like how this is shaping up the story is easy flowing and makes sense.

Star Trek Year Four -- .. romulans..DC Fontana .. nuff said.

War Is Hell - part 2.. pretty good, never was into war comics, but am interested to seeing where this goes.

Captain America -- Red Skull and Bucky, what else is can be said.

Lone Ranger #11 - a good progressiion and this was a Tonto Story.

Lords of Avalon -- this is shaping up as well and I'm looking forward to the next issue, in many ways its almost done in magna style...

Darkness #3 --never was that knowledgable on anything before this, but I like this adaption.

Dresden Files #1 -- Good.. I like and I've never read any of the books.

I think these will hold me over until Thor and the next set of Star Wars books..
